The weakening of the dollar has been an interesting phenomenon to watch, hasn’t it?  I think in the Midwest, the effects have been less noteworthy than on the coasts.  The main change we’ve seen here is the skyrocketing price of oil.  Anyway, as I keep an eye on the road to election day, I’m interested to watch what happens in the economy.  While the economy typically goes on a little bit of a roller coaster ride in election years, I think it’ll feel more pronounced this year, since the dollar is already pretty weak.  It will definitely be interesting.   I’m trying to research right now how house sales are impacted during election years (if at all).  Our comfort in this, as in all things, is that while these issues are constantly in front of us, they are not eternal, and they are well within God’s control and sight.  Nothing goes unnoticed by Him, which is inconceivable to us, but it’s absolutely true.  What a relief!
